Rethink Speech is dedicated to the memory of my father, Don Fraser
Born 1934, Glasgow. Died Canberra, 2016.
As well as having substantial formal education, he was an impressive self-taught scholar of many fields – with language and cognition among the topics closest to his heart. So he was very much involved in the development of the ideas expressed at Rethink Speech, and I like to think he would have enjoyed the final product.
I inherited many marvellous qualities from my Dad …
… but some of his most impressive traits seem only to have gone through the male line.
You’ll find Dad’s cosseted companion, Puss, who died not long before he did, featured as a wise but silent guide in some of the more important demonstrations in the Rethink Speech modules.
